Indeed Certificate Manager 5.1 – harder, better, faster, stronger
Posted by Nadezhda Navadova on 27 November 2018 04:48 PM

Release Indeed Certificate Manager 5.1 hits two goals at the same time. We’ve developed tools for easier system configuration and extended integration opportunities with Microsoft Active Directory.

Indeed CM usability is now higher. A flexible role model allows customizing a set of privileges for each administrator and operator under each smart card usage policy.

Roles can be both global when the role’s composition is set for all policies and local when the role’s members are set for each policy separately.

Roles can be both global when the role’s composition is set for all policies and local when the role’s members are set for each policy separately.

What is more, Indeed CM own organizational structure is used to combine users located in different OU within Active Directory catalog under one policy.

Active Directory user’s password reset – after expiration, domain password is reset to a random value by Indeed CM mechanisms. As it happens, users will have the only authentication method which is a smart card with key information.

And other useful features to save your administrator’s efforts and time:

    • Restriction to issue a certificate for a certain type of smart cars/USB token within the device usage policy;
    • Smart card search based on smart card usage policy;
    • Ability to change parameters of policy assignment (container, group, priority);
  • Ability to initialize the card at the moment of its withdrawal.
